The Chosen Girls web site is a social network created for young teens. I was hired to create the site from start to finish with the help of an on site illustrator. Working as a front-end team we positioned and developed the sites design elements. The site’s back-end is supported by a company called Ning, the online software backbone of the site.

The site design is 3 columns and plays to a social networks needs, meaning very full. G Studios LLC, the company behind the brand, is located in Newport Beach, and markets lifestyle brands. Chosen Girls is a brand aimed at healthy living as a teen.

The design techniques laid out with this site show a more trendy look than some of my other works. The OC Driveway Sealers contacted me for getting a site up quickly. They needed to be exposed and easily contacted.

While still maintaining a clean look, the simple three page web site portrays a visually pleasing and information based site. The use of positioned CSS layers give this site an exact "messiness" imitating a cluttered desk. Font images and graphics make up the "guts" of this particular design.

The design used for this small business is a customized CSS layout optimized for quick information. SoCal Pet Pals needed something simple and attractive to inform their customers of what they do and how they do it. I was the sole developer on the site, including database implementation for signing up new clients and scheduling service. The company, also based in southern California, has a slim and modern appeal.

G Studios needed an online store to start selling their Chosen Girls brand while still maintaining the ability to expand. The solution chosen was an ecommerce package hosted by Volusion and configured using their backend content management system. I assisted in the acquisition of a merchant gateway and all steps of securing, configuring, and designing the G Studios LLC store.

The stores online presence is very clean and uncluttered, similar to their home page. The structure is simple and functional, displaying their products for purchase. It was build with expandability in mind, eventually opening up to their other lifestyle brands.

Surfside Tech Support is a Huntington Beach technology service company. Their site although simple for a content management system features custom modules, Google adsense and custom backend Joomla components. Surfside Tech Support needed their site to look good but serious. Although dark, the colors play well to highlight the companies services.

I built the site so it would be easily duplicated for small businesses in need of this type of site. It was up within two weeks and finished within a month.

I typically offer a one time teaching lesson to the end user after the site has been finished enabling the client to maintain the this content management type of site.

Gary Ostwald is a professional speaker and professor at Eastern University. He came to me looking for something simple to present his professional speaking services on the web. While admittedly bland in style the site does feature a custom flash testimonial viewer worth noting.

The site, mostly graphics and links, uses simple javascript image swaps to guide user navigation.
